Entire issue written, pencilled and inked by Zack Mosley (creator of the Smilin' Jack newspaper strip), lettering by Boody Rogers. Reprints/adapts 1940 newspaper strip continuity (indicia copyright "1940 by News Syndicate Co. , Inc."). Story: pilot Jack "Smilin' Jack" Martin takes a job with the wealthy Beaverduck family. Conflict with spoiled daughter/rival pilot Joy Beaverduck, who schemes against Jack's fiancee Dixie's chance at a sight-restoring operation, is injured and needs a transfusion from Dixie, confesses, then anonymously funds Dixie's treatment. Later storylines have Jack and partner Downwind crop-dusting in the South. 52 pages, full color, 10-cent cover price.
